As Christians, we believe that the Bible is the standard and roadmap for our lives.   Many people who call themselves Christians see the Bible as just a another book that happens to have the story of Jesus.  They say they believe this story, but actually it has very little effect on their daily lives.  However, the Bible should be the main catalyst in everything we do.  Many religious groups have interpreted the Scriptures in a way that allows them to get away with anything and think they will still have a home in heaven.  We believe that  the Bible has the last say in every argument, whether spiritual or more mundane.  Revelation 22:19 says:

And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

The verse says that anyone adding to or taking away from the Bible's message will have no place in heaven.  An old saying goes, "Where the Bible speaks, we speak, where the Bible is silent, we are silent."  This statement embodies our belief in the Bible as having the last say in our lives.
