Old Two Spot logging locomotive at Flagstaff - Aug. 27, 1998
Old Two Spot

Sign on the fence (not visible in photo) reads:
"OLD TWO SPOT"

This historic Baldwin steam locomotive, built in 1911, spent its entire working life in logging operations in the Flagstaff area. It is an important part of local and regional history. The City Council recently authorized purchase of the train and the Santa Fe Railroad generously moved it to its temporary storage location free of charge. Two Spot and these log cars will remain here for two or three years until a permanent display can be arranged and set up somewhere in the downtown railroad corridor.
