2008 Episcopal Women's Conference
Barbara Woltz, Conference Chair 2606 East 66th Place Tulsa, OK 74136 |
Beloved,
"Behold I Do a New Thing." These words evoke excitement, because new things and new experiences are by their very nature adventurous and filled with action. This theme was chosen some time ago in anticipation that this conference would be our first with our new bishop, the Right Reverend Edward Konieczny. Our diocese will be doing new things under the leadership of Bishop Ed and his wife Debbie, and the women of the diocese are eager to be part of this renewal process.
We are thrilled to welcome the Reverend Jo Bailey Wells as our conference speaker. She is an Anglican priest on the faculty at Duke Divinity School, and she has a reputation as an excellent speaker. A flyer detailing her impressive credentials is included with your registration packet, and we know that it will be worthwhile to hear what "new things" she has to tell us.
All conference events will take place at Trinity in downtown Tulsa, 501 South Cincinnati. Trinity's recent renovations of its fellowship space, offices, and classroom space, along with the adjoining Iron Gate facilities, are now complete. The conference will afford an excellent opportunity to see and enjoy the results of Trinity's renovation. The conference hotel is the Crowne Plaza Tulsa. In this packet, you will find information on the conference, along with the registration form. Please register as soon as you can. Registrations need to be received by April 25.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference. If you have any questions, please contact us.
In Christ's Love,
Barbara Woltz, Conference Chair
